Taking place in our historic Market Place on the third Thursday of each
month from 9am to 3:30pm, Durham City Farmers' Market features a wide variety of local,
free-range and fresh produce from across the North East.
Durham Markets established the City Farmers' Market 12 years ago, as a way of connecting farmers with the public and bringing a wide range of locally produced food straight to the masses.
Our farmers are hugely experienced independents who are real experts in
their field, and the variety and quality of their offering makes the Farmers'
Market a truly alternative way to shop.
It's also the perfect way to reduce your weekly food miles and support the
local economy, picking up local independent produce within hours of it being
picked.
