Durham Market Place will swing this Bank Holiday!

Nostalgia Weekend with Vintage and General Market

Bank Holiday weekend will be swinging in Durham Market Place with a nostalgia weekend, bringing the sounds and sights of the 1940s alongside a vibrant vintage market.

Make sure you come down on Sunday May 26th and Monday May 27th between 11am and 4pm - there will be something for all the family.

All part of Love Your Local Market fortnight, which runs from 15th to 29th May, this vintage market, and the accompanying general market introduce a whole host of traders who you've not seen before in Durham Market Place.

So come and explore! There's vintage clothes and antiques as well as gifts, food, and lots more.

Adding to the atmosphere, we'll have WWII jeeps, and a WWII Dodge weapons carrier in the Market Place, and period re-enactors from Yesterday’s Heroes local living history group in WWII American infantry and US Naval uniforms.

And there's musical entertainment too from Jay-B & Miss Becky Clayburn, who will be performing 1940s swing music throughout each day.

There will also be a Nostalgia Tearoom in the Market Place, with outside seating; The Keep Calm and Carry On Café!

And on Monday 27th May The Market Hall, with over 50 stalls by quality local independents, will be openfrom 11am to 4pm too!
