The Market Hall: Open 7 Days A Week This Month

There's so much going on at the moment, it's handy to know that the Market Hall will be seven days a week from now until Christmas - so there is every opportunity to pop in and do all your Christmas shopping in one go!

Now is the time to get your turkey orders in at Teesdale Game and Poultry and Pipers Butchers. You could also opt for some Christmas salmon from IK Fish opposite and some mince pies and Christmas cake from Akins Family Bakers. Durham City Fruiterers have all the fruit and vegetables you could possibly handle this Christmas, and the Market is brimming with festive decorations and music to fill you with Christmas cheer! (Why not pop up to the cafe upstairs while you're with us and make your visit a real occasion!)

At this time of year, the Toy Stall in the centre of the Market is a fantastic resource for children's presents, catering for kids big and small!

If it's fashion, perfume, jewellery or accessories you are after, then take a trip to Lynn's Bag Stall, Bead Bizarre, M'n'M Accessories, Poppy Likes Dresses, Andersons of Durham for quality shoes, Vintage @ Durham Market, The Spec Shop and Powder Bowl or Pauline's Health Cabin to pick up some real treats.

For those with hobbies, check out the Book Emporium, Market MusicMusic Box, Rob's Videos, Corner Cards, Crafty Nook, Framing Unlimited, Walkers Fabrics, Outdoor Pursuits, Handmade By Teresa and Wine, Beer and Gear.

For the more adventurous, Ye Olde Tattoo Studio offers an excellent and very professional tattoo service, while Dare U offers hair styling and ear and body piercings too.... (if you're brave enough!)

In fact, this is only the tip of the iceberg... You can find a full stall listing here, but why not pop in and see for yourself what the Market has to offer...

We have everything it takes to help you get ahead of the Christmas Eve rush!

PS. Durham's Christmas Farmers' Market will take place in the Market Place from 9am till 3:30pm on Thursday 20th December. The brussels sprouts go particularly quickly, so try to get there early if you can!
